CHUTO made of white oak, medium length (90.9cm).
Handcrafted in Miyakonojyo, Miyazaki (Japan).
Each piece is individually handmade.
On the TSUKAJIRI (end of the handle) it carries the maker’s stamp «新».

Specifications

• Weight: approx. 450 grams
• Finish: the wood surface is untreated
• Maintenance: we recommend applying vegetable oil and polishing every few months
• Not recommended: Katana oils, as many contain mineral oil

Recommended Use

This CHUTO is recommended for people of short stature and for younger practitioners for whom the DAITO is too long.

We import directly from the workshop NIIDOME BOKUTOU in Miyakonojyo, Miyazaki Japan.
This is a traditional workshop specialised in the production of BOKKEN.
