White Oak Bokken – Iwama Ryu Style

BOKKEN made of white oak, IWAMA RYU style (岩間流).
Handcrafted in Miyakonojyo, Miyazaki (Japan).
Each piece is individually handmade.
The TSUKAJIRI (end of the handle) bears the maker’s stamp “新”.

Specifications

• Style: Iwama Ryu
• Weight: approx. 750 grams
• Finish: the surface of the wood is untreated
• Maintenance: occasional application of vegetable oil and polishing every few months is recommended
• Not recommended: KATANA oils, as many contain mineral oil

This IWAMA RYU style BOKKEN is recommended for the traditional practice of this school.
Its weight and balance make it suitable for technical training in accordance with the ryu’s method.
