SHOTO (KODACHI) made of white oak, short length (54.5cm).
Handcrafted in Miyakonojyo, Miyazaki (Japan).
Each piece is handmade.
On the TSUKAJIRI (end of the handle) it carries the maker’s stamp «新».

Specifications

• Weight: approx. 250 grams
• Finish: the wooden surface is untreated
• Maintenance: we recommend applying vegetable oil and polishing every few months
• Not recommended: katana oils, as many contain mineral oil

Recommended use

This SHOTO is recommended for practice with KODACHI techniques and for exercises that require a short wooden sword.

We import directly from the NIIDOME BOKUTOU workshop in Miyakonojyo, Miyazaki, Japan.
This is a traditional workshop specialised in the production of BOKKEN.
